AU President Benjamin Ladner and Nancy Bullard Ladner announced during Homecoming and Reunion festivities that they will make a $200,000 gift to AU’s capital campaign for the creation of student scholarships.

President Ladner named the gift the Nancy Bullard Ladner Scholarship, saying “This is one way of appreciating one of the unsung heroes of the university.” Through this named scholarship, President Ladner wishes to honor Nancy Ladner’s commitment to service and involvement through “her representation of the university in extremely important sectors,” including “a huge international schedule on behalf of the university.” Nancy Ladner serves both as president of the International Club in Washington and on numerous other committees and boards.
