The
1,000-book e-backpack saves time
OK, so you found dozens of references to books you plan to use
for that upcoming book you are writing about baby dinosaurs. Back
in the old days, you had to pause and copy all the information
about each book because you might eventually need to cite it.
Now, however, American University Librarys Bookbag feature
of ALADIN is up and running. The Backpack with 1,000 books allows
you to store the records of 1,000 books. You may then view, e-mail,
or delete records as you like, thus saving much time.
The Bookbag and ALADIN catalog are accessible through the link
on the library home page at www.library.american.edu
or through the ALADIN home page at
www.aladin.wrlc.org.

a result, material submitted after the deadline may not be available
to students during the first week of the semester. Contact Mike
Campanile at 885-3230 with any questions.
Diana Vogelsong, AU librarian, and Mary Mintz, associate librarian,
