LIBRARY
ASSOCIATE

Educational Requirements: Two years of college or an equivalent
combination of education and related experience. Position Requirements:
One year of library experience, preferably with a library circulation
system; one year of administrative office experience, including
proficiency with Microsoft Office; and one year of customer service
experience required. Accuracy and attention to detail, problem-solving
skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability
to work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision also
required. Supervisory experience, database and spreadsheet use,
and experience with linkmaking software, as well as knowledge of
Blackboard (Bb), Adobe Acrobat and Pagemaker preferred. Description:
Responsible for ensuring that reserve materials requested by faculty
are made available in a timely manner. Also responsible for providing
guidance to faculty members regarding e- reserves, Blackboard, and
federal and library copyright policies. Additional responsibilities
include: managing the reserves desk in the absence of the reserves
section head, maintaining electronic e-reserve files and rush order
request databases, compiling reserves statistics, and interviewing,
hiring and training 11 part-time staff members.

COUNSELOR

Position Requirements: Communicate effectively, both orally
and in writing; represent the office in a professional, courteous,
and effective manner. Proficiently operate a database and correspondence
system employing Microsoft Word, and preferably a Datatel system,
or ability to readily learn such a system. Perform repetitive data
entry tasks. Respond in an effective and courteous manner to frequent
telephone, e-mail, and in-person inquiries. Work in a fast-paced
office whose operations reflect the marketing efforts and the image
of the entire university. Exhibit good judgment skills and respect
confidentiality. Work independently and as a member of a team, manage
several tasks simultaneously, set priorities and accomplish tasks,
research and resolve problems, and follow through on projects and
assignments with minimal direction. Description: Responsible
for coordinating all aspects of processing applications for admission
to the JD program. Typical duties include, but are not necessarily
limited to the following: entering and coding law school applications,
preparing applications for review by the Admissions Committee, and
extracting information from the database. This position interacts
regularly with applicants, counseling them on the admissions process
and informing them about the educational opportunities at the law
school. The counselor communicates with the Law School Admission
Council to upload and download information, and responds to phone
and e-mail inquiries regarding admissions processes, deadlines,
and application status. This position also coordinates, registers,
and maintains travel activities and invitations for recruitment
events, represents WCL at various forums and universities, including
graduate programs and other recruitment functions. In addition,
the counselor will conduct information sessions throughout the year
for law school applicants.

Requirements: Ability to work nights, weekends, and hours above
regular daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly university work schedule.

the director of athletics for facilities and operations, the facility
manager, and assistant facility manager in all aspects of management
of AU athletic facilities (Bender arena and all outdoor facilities).
Help coordinate daily activities at all venues, including setup
and breakdown of venues for practices and games of all athletic
department programs and other related activities. Assist in event
management for all venue events. Coordinate event staff scheduling
and supervision. Develop and maintain van schedule for team travel
within the department.

Requirements: Minimum of one year of cash handling experience
in a mechanized environment necessary. Accounting or bookkeeping
experience desirable. Must be customer service oriented, motivated,
reliable, and detailed oriented. The position requires some extended
hours during peak times of the academic year. Excellent people and
verbal communication skills necessary. Accounting or bookkeeping
experience desirable. Description: Student Accounts seeks
a senior cashier-associate teller responsible for the proper receipt,
control, posting, and reconciling of various cash receipts in a
timely manner. Receipt types include student payments, departmental
deposits, and petty cash transactions. Other duties include daily
posting and reconciling of lockbox and debit card transactions.
The incumbent will need to be intuitive and able to analyze students
accounts to ensure the proper amount is being paid.

and manage multiple tasks simultaneously required. Description:
Enrollment Services seeks a professional customer relations representative
to serve as the front line between AU students and the Financial
Aid office. Identify and meet the needs of AU students and parents
while advising them on the financial aid process. Manage the front
desk operations including scheduling appointments, correspondence,
and the supervision of student staff.
