2/3 – the size of AU’s campus and facilities in comparison to universities with similarly sized student populations—a fact the Capital Campaign is aiming to change.

4 – students from Asia who are part of the Washington College of Law International Legal Studies Program’s partnerships with universities in Asia. The dual LLM degree is in conjunction with Korea’s Yonsei University and the City University of Hong Kong.

8 – students from Africa who are part of the Washington College of Law International Legal Studies Program’s partnerships with universities in Africa and Europe. The joint LLM in trade and investment law for African lawyers is being done in conjunction with universities in Uganda, South Africa, and the Netherlands.

9 – number of shutouts recorded by field hockey goalie Laura Miller this season. Miller has been named Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week five times in 2003.

247 – SOC alums and students who attended SOC’s inaugural D.C. event “Spinning Washington: Perception. Power. Politics.” The event, held at Discovery World Headquarters, featured a panel discussion moderated by SOC alum and channel nine news anchor Derek McGinty, and a reception.

$100,000 – sum former basketball player and AU alumnus Kermit Washington received when he auctioned off his Porsche, according to the Associated Press. Washington used the money for his charity Project Contact.
