Provost Neil Kerwin will present “Standards of Our Academic Work” during his annual address to the faculty at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Apr. 20, in the Kay Spiritual Life Center.

Jing Huang, a senior fellow in the Foreign Policy Studies program at the Brookings Institution, will present “Challenges, Choices, and the ‘New Diplomacy’ in China’s Foreign Policymaking.” Huang’s research interests include civil-military relations in China, as well as China-Taiwan relations. This academic forum about the political situation of this U.S. territory features Alex Odishelidze, author of Pay to the Order of Puerto Rico, and Jeffrey Farrow, cochair of the President’s Interagency Group on Puerto Rico, 1994–2001. The program includes brief previews of IPCR student documentaries filmed in Sudan-Darfur, Sri Lanka, and Central America, and the presentation of the Peacemaker Award, which recognizes those who have shown a commitment to peacemaking on the individual, community, or global level.
