Community helps beautify campus

Members of the women’s soccer team worked on their Massachusetts Avenue practice field last Tuesday during AU’s annual Campus Beautification Day. The athletes were among the more than 300 faculty, staff, and students who took time out of their day to spruce up the grounds of main and Tenley campuses, Washington College of Law, and the Brandywine Building. Volunteers collected 25 bags of trash, installed 1,787 yards of sod, spread three tractor loads of mulch, planted 24 trees, 187 shrubs, and 4,957 plants. —MU
