Educational Requirements: BA in peace and conflict resolution
or related field; MA preferred. Position Requirements: Strong
knowledge in the fields of conflict resolution, peace-building,
development, reconstruction, and reconciliation required. Prior
training skills and experience is preferred. Fund-raising, public
relations, marketing, and recruiting experience and working with
a wide range of scholars and practitioners from various conflict
zones is also preferred. Description: Responsible for coordinating,
administering, and promoting the peace-building and development
institutes summer training program and the academic year programs
in the United States and overseas.

OPERATIONS MANAGER

Educational Requirements: Bachelors degree or the equivalent
in training or experience required. Position Requirements:
Must have at least one year experience in management of large multipurpose
athletic facility. Strong technical, organizational, and interpersonal
skills are required. Possession of food handlers (D.C.) is
required for the concessions. Description: Assists with
the overall maintenance and repair of Bender Arena and all outdoor
facilities. Also coordinates and plans special event preparation
and site preparation for all home athletic events and site preparation
for all academic classes.

BROADCAST TECHNICIAN
(Two Positions)

Educational Requirements: Must be a high-school graduate,
with addi-
tional training (formal or on-the-job) in broadcast production,
recording, and mixing. Position Requirements: Two years of
broadcast experience required. Knowledge of audio production techniques
and broadcast production equipment, including analog and digital
recorders and editing systems required. Good written and oral communications
skills are a must. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
Must possess a knowledge of basic principles of sound, electronics,
computers and digital audio. Ability to learn quickly, and to apply
knowledge flexibly in unpredictable situations. Analytic capabilities
helpful for troubleshooting. Knowledge of basic troubleshooting,
electronics repair, and maintenance very helpful. Must possess a
valid drivers license. Description: This position
is responsible for technical production during live on-air shows,
for mixing, recording, and editing radio programs for delayed broadcast,
and for producing copies of recordings for both in-house use and
external sales. When signed on to the transmitter log, the person
in this position is also responsible for operating the WAMU transmitter
system and associated equipment.

DIRECTOR, TEACHER EDUCATION

Educational Requirements: Masters degree in education
or related field; doctorate in education preferred; expertise in
teacher education, teacher certification, and program accreditation
is required. Position Requirements: The position is for 11
months: full-time September through June, and half-time during July
and August. The incumbent will teach one course during the academic
year, as determined by the SOE dean. Description: This
position is responsible for the development, supervision, and coordination
of field experience and student advising for undergraduate and graduate,
elementary and secondary teacher education programs in the School
of Education, including teacher certification programs and contacts
with local jurisdictions. Serves as institutional liaison to external
licensing and accrediting organizations and primary internal resources
on certification and accreditation to ensure that the SOE dean and
faculty are well-informed and guided through successful national
accreditation processes and to ensure curricula are aligned with
state and national standards. Chairs the Teacher Education Committee
and serves as a voting member of the SOE Council promoting the interests
of the department and upholding standards of accreditation. This
position requires self-direction and minimal supervision.

Educational Requirements: 30 college credits or the equivalent
in collegiate experience and training. Position Requirements:
One year of work experience in a related field. Candidates must
be eligible to obtain a D.C. Special Police Officer commission,
pass a medical exam, possess a valid driver s license, and be able
to work varied shifts when necessary, including during inclement
weather. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to
write detailed incident reports, reliability, and integrity are
essential. Description: Patrol campus and respond to calls
for assistance, interacting with a diverse student population to
