AU senior Melissa Chin will soon be trading her college student
gear for a ball gown and white gloves at the annual National Cherry
Blossom Festival held March 27 to April 11. Chin was chosen Massachusetts
Cherry Blossom Princess for 2004 based on her accomplishments, community
involvement, poise, and leadership. At AU Chin studies public communications
and serves as a residential advisor, a Freshman Service Experience
leader, and cochair of the senior gift committee, charged with raising
$50,000.
