PATROL OFFICER

Educational Requirements: 30 college credits or the equivalent in collegiate experience and training. Position Requirements: One year of work experience in a related field. Candidates must be eligible to obtain a D.C. Special Police Officer commission, pass a medical exam, possess a valid driver’s license, and be able to work varied shifts when necessary, including during inclement weather. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write
detailed incident reports, reliability, and integrity are essential. Description: Patrol campus and respond to calls for assistance, interacting with a diverse student population to provide a safe, secure campus environment. ASSOCIATE ATHLETIC DIRECTOR, EXTERNAL OPERATIONS

Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree. Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required, master’s preferred, or five to seven years experience in marketing, promotions, and development. Experience in a college athletic department required. Description: Responsible for generating revenue through fund raising, ticket sales, and corporate sponsorships, supervising the Eagles Club, and increasing public relations, community relations, and exposure for the athletic department. Preference will be given to internal applicants.

DIRECTOR OF FACILITIES AND OPERATIONS

Position Requirements: A combination of education and experience that demonstrate necessary skills is required as well as a minimum of three years experience in collegiate athletic administration. Basic working knowledge of athletic event structure and operations helpful. Description: Responsible for management and operation of all facilities and day-to-day event operations of the Department of Athletics. Coordinates and supervises al staff involved in day-to-day operations and management and administration of facilities. Preference given to internal applicants.

CONTRACTS MANAGER
# 4951, Assistant Treasurer
Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or marketing, plus three years experience in a service environment, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience which demonstrates the necessary skills and abilities to perform the job. Position Requirements: Must be highly skilled in using computer software to gather, analyze, and present information, and must have experience communicating in written and oral form to a diverse audience and skill set. Familiarity with the university environment and knowledge of process improvement techniques are pluses. Description: Responsible for the management and administration of various contract agreements within the department of Auxiliary Services, including the university’s agreements for the management and operation of the campus store, dining services, snack vending services, beverage vending services, and affinity card program. Additionally, this position administers agreements with licensed vendors for the use of university trademarks and logos. Responsibili-ties include contract administration, development of marketing and customer service initiatives intended to improve service or increase customer base or revenues, assisting with the development of requests for proposals, compiling market data and performing benchmark analysis, acting as a liaison between service contractors and retail operators and various university departments.

ASSISTANT REGISTRAR

Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree. Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree and three to four years of experience in a registrar’s or similar office setting required. Excellent written and organizational skills are critical. Must have excellent oral communication skills as well as computer proficiency and be able to work in a diverse community. Description: Must be a detail-oriented person who is familiar with academic regulations and able to communicate this information to faculty, staff, students, and alumni. Other duties include managing the bar certification process and verification of transcripts and degrees; training and supervising part-time staff; and managing maintenance of student records.

Position Requirements: Experience with databases, good interpersonal and writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to complete assigned tasks independently. Familiarity with Colleague, ApplyYourself, HTML, or Dreamweaver a plus. Description: Provides administrative support for SOC’s graduate recruitment, admissions, and enrollment functions. Duties include creating and maintaining student records on databases, reviewing files for completeness, and interacting with students. Responsible for coordinating on-campus recruitment activities, including open houses and individual student visits.

Working knowledge of databases preferred. Description: Provides administrative support and essential services to the faculty, staff, and students within AU Abroad. Provides a central point for the dissemination of information and all assistance relevant to the day-to-day operations.

Description: Duties include professional driving, cleaning and care for vehicles, and other assigned duties appropriate to the position.
