Sitting in on House committee hearings, researching at the Library of Congress, and interning for the State Department, aren’t the only perks students can get from AU’s Washington, D.C., location. Last week, 17 students who came back to campus early or just arrived for the Washington Semester Program joined seven of their professors for a skate at the National Gallery of Art’s sculpture garden ice rink. The trip downtown was organized by Student Activities’ Experience D.C. Program, which strives to help AU students explore everything Washington, D.C., has to offer.
