Key MPA program honors alumni

The Key Executive Leadership MPA Program held its alumni reception Friday at the Mary Graydon Center. Marta Brito Perez, chief human capital officer at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and an adjunct professor at the School of Public Affairs, was the speaker. Perez is responsible for all aspects of managing Homeland Security’s human resources including, the development, education, and training of over 180,000 DHS employees. She also oversees pay and benefits, union and employee relations, and recruitment and policy.

Four alumni who have been working on a committee to review the MPA program were honored in a brief award ceremony. Phyllisa Goldenberg accepted on behalf of the other three, who could not attend. —MU
