Writers improvised to the sound of music, trying to put into words the memories, feelings, and images that came with the sounds that drifted through the Battelle-Tompkins atrium. They heard faculty member Kermit Moyer play the piano, to show how his playing inspires his writing. They also heard from a panel of writers, ate lunch, and spent the day writing and talking about writing. The intersection of writing and music was the topic of the day for the students, staff, and faculty who gathered on Saturday for the third annual day of creative writing and music.
