A Shakespeare character famously said in Twelfth Night, “If music be the food of love, play on.” Nobue Matsuoka-Motley, AU’s music librarian, might amend that line to “If music be the food of learning, play on.”

Music majors and the AU community are invited for a taste of each at a special spring library session on music research.

Nobue, an award-winning percussionist, and Nancy Snider, Music Program director and musician in residence in the Department of Performing Arts, CAS, will open the special session with performances on their respective instruments, the marimba and cello. This unique marriage of creativity and research will be held Feb. 7, in the Abramson Family Recital Hall, Katzen Arts Center, at 12:45 p.m.

For more information about music resources or the special performance and research session contact Nobue at nobue@american.edu.
