Every year, one of AU’s most highly regarded faculty members is honored as Scholar-Teacher of the Year. The award always goes to a professor whose combination of scholarship and teaching makes their classes a memorable experience for students and establishes them as a leader in their field.
This year’s Scholar-Teacher of the Year is Daniel Dreisbach, School of Public Affairs, who is known for his incisive scholarship on church and state in the early years of the nation.
The list of faculty being lauded for their achievements is a long one. At the annual awards dinner, seven faculty won awards for their scholarship, research, teaching, service to the community, and scholarly contributions, and 15 were honored for their years of service.
