Kids get dirty on Beautification Day

About 20 youngsters from AU’s Child Development Center (CDC) lent tiny helping hands to the campuswide cleanup last Wednesday, during the 15th annual Beautification Day.
The children chipped in as faculty, staff, and students planted 15 trees around the CDC. Casey Trees—an organization committed to restoring, enhancing, and protecting Washington’s tree canopy—donated the trees to help shade the kids’ playground area.
Twenty-five youngsters from nearby Horace Mann Elementary School also got their hands dirty on Beautification Day, helping bed plants, spread mulch, and pick up litter. —AF
