SIS announces graduate research award recipients

Ten graduate students from the School of International Service (SIS) have been awarded grants to fund research projects and conference papers. The awards, which range from $500 to $1000, are sponsored by SIS and the Graduate Student Council.

Some students will use the grant to fund their thesis research. For example, Jesse Kirkpatrick—a student in ethics, peace, and global affairs—plans to travel to northern Israel and southern Lebanon to collect data for his thesis, which focuses on cluster munitions.

Other winners include: Elizabeth Johnson, Marianne Jonsson, Valerie Kirkpatrick, Limnyuy Konglim, Courtney Radsch, Regine Rene, Alice Wuermli, Jennifer Zewin, and Lisa Farhamy.
