WCL hosts experts on Tibet protests

The Chinese crackdown on Tibetan protesters was the topic of a panel discussion last week at the Washington College of Law (WCL). John Ackerly, WCL ’85, and president of the International Campaign for Tibet, at right, spoke at the event that also featured, left, T. Kumar, advocacy director for Asia and the Pacific, Amnesty International, and, center, Hadar Harris, executive director of WCL’s Center for Human Rights and Humanitarian Law. Chinese students in the audience expressed their disagreement with the point of view expressed by the panelists. —SA
