GEICO awards graduating senior $1,000

Caveman sightings are rare. A cardboard caveman carrying a giant check is stranger still.
Last Friday, senior Jonelle Williams received an unexpected surprise when a GEICO representative, accompanied by a cutout of the caveman, presented Williams with $1,000. Williams, a justice and law major, beat out 30 other students to win the auto insurance company’s AU achievement award.
According to the Career Center’s Lara Ferraiolo, Williams, who graduates next month, can spend the $1,000 however he likes—perhaps on some new car insurance? —AF
