Alison Smith reads from her award-winning memoir

In Alison’s Smith debut memoir, Name all the Animals, she grapples with her teenage grief over the death of her brother in prose that the New York Times Book Review says “makes time stand still and your coffee go cold beside you.” Smith read from her prize-winning book to a large audience last week as part of the Visiting Writers Series. The reading was sponsored by the Department of Literature, College of Arts and Sciences.
